Officers Robert Franciose and Robert Fernandez stopped the 2007 Hyundai near the Kohl’s shopping center and the Pequannock border just before 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Capt. Laurence Martin said.

While talking with the driver, 26-year-old Markella Strongilos of Sparta, they noticed a torn bag of heroin and 44 others stamped "GUCCI" on the floor, Martin said.

Talking with one of the passengers, 22-year-old Tylor Vandien of Green Pond, they spotted the bags of crack, the captain said.

The rear passenger, Stanley Hood, 39, of Montague, had some crack, as well as a folding knife, he said.

All three were taken to the Passaic County Jail pending detention hearings on drug possession charges.

Strongilos also received a summons for having drugs in a motor vehicle.
