Police and ambulance workers rendered first aid to Robert Konowich, who paramedics took to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center after the 2:19 a.m. crash, said Lt. Daniel Daly, commander of the department’s Traffic Bureau.

Konowich was headed north on French Hill Road on his 2015 Indian Roadmaster when it clipped the pole at Witkowski Way, the lieutenant said.

Daly asked that anyone who might have witnessed the accident or has information that could help the investigation call the Traffic Bureau: (973) 694-0600.
