Caceres, 26, of Paterson was stopped at noon yesterday by Officers Vincent Cooper and Jason Heese for having tinted windows on his 2011 Blue Honda Civic, Capt. Michael deMoncada told CLIFFVIEW PILOT this afternoon.

“Both smelled burnt marijuana coming from the interior of the car” and obtained his consent to search the vehicle, deMoncada said.

The officers found Promethazine VC with Codeine, Promethazine DM and Promethazine Plain, for which Cacares didn’t have prescriptions, he said.

They charged him with possession with the intent to distribute a prescription drugs.

“Due to the total volume of the medications in his possession, this is a 2nd-degree crime,” deMoncada said.

Caceres, whose father was serving prison time, was trying to put his own criminal past behind him on the MTV show. He apparently played third base and the outfield for the New York City Metro Baseball League and had dreams of playing professionally, according to the program.

Caceres remained held on $35,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail this afternoon.

Police also issued him summonses for driving with a suspended license and having tinted windows.
