Taxi Struck By Gunfire In Paterson As Clifton Cabbie Flees Robber

A Clifton cabbie told police a robber in a mask fired a shot into his door in Paterson as he tried to flee before dawn Thursday.

The 54-year-old driver said the robber approached him near the Dr. Frank Napier School of Technology (School #4) in the area of 1st and Clinton streets around 1 a.m. and took his cellphone.

He said he hit the gas and the robber fired, hitting his door.

The cabbie wasn't injured, authorities said.
