SEE Anything? Masked Gunmen Tried To Rob Her, Says Clifton Woman, 21

CLIFTON, N.J. -- Clifton police sought the public's help finding two men who a 21-year-old city woman said were wearing masks when they pushed her against a light pole and pressed a handgun to her side in a robbery attempt.

The woman told police the bandits ran off without taking anything after accosting her on Grace Avenue near Getty Avenue around 1:30 a.m. Friday, Detective Lt. Robert Bracken said.

They headed toward Clifton Avenue, the woman told police.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious in that area around that time or has information about the incident is asked to contact Clifton police detectives at (973) 470-5908 or the Clifton Police Communications Center (973) 470-5911.

All callers can remain anonymous, Bracken said.
