The Jaris Transportation Company van collided with a Mazda sedan on Elm Avenue between Maple Avenue and Harristown Road a little before 3 o’clock.

The girl and sedan driver refused medical aid.

The van’s driver was taken to St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Paterson with undetermined injuries that weren’t considered life-threatening.

Elm Avenue was closed in both directions while the van and sedan were removed by separate flatbed tow trucks and the roadway cleared of debris and spilled fluid.

Responding were Fair Lawn police and EMS workers and Fuchs Medical Transportation Services.
