James “Jimmy” VanNoordt, 51, was pinned beneath his beloved 2007 Harley Davidson after it slid into a sign Saturday night. State authorities said he wasn’t under the influence of drugs or alcohol and wasn’t wearing a helmet.

“The accident has taken away his right upper arm,” a GoFundMe account established for VanNoordt says. “His front upper lobe of his brain was injured and a small part had to be removed."

The Wayne Hills High School graduate “has fractures on his cheek bone, sinus and temple," wrote Dawn Shaffer-Dube Kessaris, he organizer. "We do not know anything about his sight yet.

“He has a collapsed lung, a laceration on his upper right thigh. C7, C6, C5 were all displaced but were fixed with surgery. Few broken ribs, [and] he is still on a ventilator,” she wrote.

Any money donated to the fundraising campaign “will be given to his sister, Sherry Van Noordt-Gallagher, to help aid in his recovery,” she added.
