Charged with drug and weapons offenses in the warranted Clinton Street raid were ex-con Terrence Kelley, 34 -- who Police Director Jerry Speziale said tried to flee in a car and then fought with police -- and 28-year-old Latrina Collins.

Kelley also was charged with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm -- a 12-gauge Winchester Defender -- as well as with eluding and resisting arrest.

The department's narcotics unit "has increased its investigations into the source of supply in our city and removing dangerous weapons and drugs," Speziale said.
