Jamal Wade was free on bail -- after Delaware authorities said they busted him for drugs in early September -- when he pulled up in a car and shot 29-year-old Cosmeik Gee several times as the victim sat in another vehicle near the corner of 12th Avenue and East 23rd Street around 11:45 p.m. Friday, Paterson police said.

Around noon Monday, city Detective Sgt. Abe Hamdeh and Detectives Jimmy Maldonado and Anthony Petrazuolo found Wade a few blocks away -- at 10th and Madison avenues, Police Director Jerry Speziale told Daily Voice.

Speziale didn't address an unconfirmed report of possible accomplices, but he did say the investigation was continuing. Also, in addition to murder, Wade was charged with conspiracy, as well as weapons offenses, the director said.

He asked that anyone with information that could help with the case call his detective bureau: (973) 321-1120.

Wade, meanwhile, remained held on $1 million bail in the Passaic County Jail.
