Paterson Man, 24, Shows Up At Hospital With Gunshot Wound, Shooter Sought

PATERSON, N.J. -- A 24-year-old Paterson man showed up at the hospital before dawn Thursday with a gunshot wound that he said he got during a street argument with another man, authorities said.

The shooting occurred near at bodega at the corner of Clinton and North 6 streets, police said.

The victim was grazed by the bullet around 3:30 a.m. in the area of Clinton and North 6 streets, Police Director Jerry Speziale said.

An "altercation became physical," during which the gunman pulled a weapon and fired, Speziale said.

Two people who were with the victim took him to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center, the director said.
