Paterson Charter Schoolteacher Accused Of Sexual Relationship With Girl, 14

PATERSON, N.J. – A former Paterson charter school teacher had an “inappropriate sexual relationship” with a 14-year-old female student, authorities charged.

Vincent McDuffie, 48, formerly a teacher at Community Charter School of Paterson, remained held without bail in the county jail, charged with aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, aggravated criminal sexual contact and child endangerment.

McDuffie and the girl had the relationship between June 2016 and May 2017, according to an investigation that initially began with Paterson police and continued with the Special Victims Unit of the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said.
