PATERSON, N.J. – Detectives were searching for the gunman who killed a 20-year-old Paterson man overnight – the Silk City’s 11th homicide this year.
Genico Robinson was struck twice by bullets on North Main Street just before 2 a.m., Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief William Fraher said in a joint announcement Saturday morning.
He later was pronounced dead at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center.
Paterson had 19 killings last year.
At the current rate, it would finish this year around 16.
