Passaic Prosecutor: Clifton Man Sexually Assaulted 5-Year-Old Girl

CLIFTON, N.J. – A judge ordered a Clifton man held on $200,000 bail after Passaic County authorities charged him with sexually assaulting a 5-year-old girl.

Candido Casarez, 59, is accused of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, as well as sexual assault and child endangerment, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said Friday.

Casarez remained held in the Passaic County Jail after a court appearance Friday following his arrest the day before by Valdes’s Special Victims Unit.
