NJ troopers arrest Paterson man, seize drugs, money

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: Detectives from the New Jersey State Police Street Gang Unit reported finding $3,300 worth of drugs, mostly heroin, and $5,300 in cash during a raid on a Paterson man’s home.

Troy Franklin, 51, of Goodwin Avenue, was released on bail pending a hearing on a host of charges, including heroin and marijuana possession, both within 1,000 feet of a school and 500 feet of a park, with the intent to distribute the drugs.

The troopers said they found five bricks of heroin in Franklin’s backyard, as well as another 61 decks and about $200 worth of pot in his basement, following an undercover investigation.
