Trooper Stephen Spitaleri of the Totowa substation stopped the vehicle, which he said was moving erractically on the highway.

The relationship between the occupants — Franklin Delacruz and Jose Tremillo-Carnillo, both 45 and of the Bronx — “has not been determined yet,” said NJSP Trooper Christopher Kay.

Both are being held on $500,000 cash bail in the Bergen County Jail on charges of money laundering and conspiracy, records show.

Federal immigration detainers have been issued on both Dominican nationals.

Assisting with the investigation was the Troop B Criminal Investigation Office, the Bergen County Police Department, and the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, Kay said.
