“Lucky for him he had on a hooded sweatshirt,” Fair Lawn Police Lt. Derek Bastinck told CLIFFVIEW PILOT this afternoon. “He sustained only minor injuries and refused treatment.”

The victim, 30, was being held until Woodland Park police could pick him up sometime after 4 o’clock this afternoon, Bastinck said.

The 31-year-old woman was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and two weapons possession counts. Police also recovered the kitchen knife that Bastinck said was used in the 1:30 p.m. incident.

What they were arguing about wasn’t clear, the lieutenant said.

“Both were very uncooperative,” he said.
