FBI Seeks Help Finding Clifton Bank Robbery Suspect, $5K Reward Offered

CLIFTON, N.J. -- Have you seen him? The FBI on Tuesday turned to the public for help catching a man who they said robbed a Clifton bank last month and several others over the past six weeks.

A reward of up to $5,000 was being offered.

Quentin Morales, 25, has a tattoo on his upper left arm, another (with the letter "q") on the same arm, and the words "Margarita" and "Trust No One" on the other arm, federal authorities said.

Morales is Hispanic, has green eyes and is about 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-8 and 120 to 180 pounds, they said.

Morales "is known to wear a blondish-red goatee or beard," the FBI said Tuesday.

He has used the aliases Quentin Jonathan Morales, Quintin Morales, Quinton J. Morales, Quinton Morales, authorities said.

"In each robbery, Morales has worn some form of dark hat or head covering, a long-sleeved shirt or jacket, black or orange sunglasses, and/or what appeared to be prescription glasses," the bureau said.

He also used a demand note each time, the FBI said.

All but one of the robberies has occurred between noon ant 2 p.m. at:

  • A Wells Fargo branch on Passaic Avenue in Kearny on June 24;
  • A Capital One branch on South Elmora Avenue in Elizabeth on June 27;
  • A Wells Fargo on Boulevard in Kenilworth on June 30;
  • A Wells Fargo on North Wood Avenue in Linden on July 6;
  • A Wells Fargo on Stuyvesant Avenue in Union on June 25.

The Main Avenue bank in Clifton bank, held up on July 13, was also a Wells Fargo branch.

Anyone with information about Morales is asked to notify the authorities immediately. DO NOT try to grab him yourself.
