The robber — described as 5-foot-8 and wearing a New York Yankees hat and a plaid green shirt or jacket — passed a note to a teller at the River Road bank branch Wednesday afternoon and collected the cash without showing a weapon, authorities said.
He then took off on foot to 6th Street, where a witness told police he was picked up by the two others in a gold or tan minivan, possibly a Honda Odyssey.
The vehicle then headed toward Paterson over the Fair Lawn Avenue bridge.
The Fair Lawn Police Detective Bureau, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation responded to the scene.
An investigation was continuing, Fair Lawn Police Sgt. Brian Metzler said this morning.
