They got 43 alone this past Friday night, according to Sgt. Richard Schultz.

Each was “abandoned,” Schultz said, meaning that the caller hung up without saying anything.

Officers Stephen Buskiewicz, Kevin Wood and Sgt. James Corcoran traced the calls to Cory L. Brown.

They found Brown at 10th Ave and East 27th St in Paterson as he was making another call, Schultz said.

Brown was released without bail pending a Municipal Court hearing Wednesday on charges of making a false public alarm.
