Fair Lawn DWI checkpoint produces several pot arrests

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A weekend DWI roadblock in Fair Lawn turned up mostly pot, authorities said today.

Police arrested several young adults at the Saturday morning checkpoint. All were released on summonses:

-Warren Kadean, 23, Englewood, was arrested by Officer Sean Macys for arrest warrants out of Englewood for $178. He was turned over to Englewood police;

-Keane Macadaeg, 20, River Edge, was arrested by Officer Nicholas Snyder on charges of underage possession of an alcoholic beverage that police said was found in his car;

-Junior Vasquez, 23, Paterson, was arrested by Officer Brian Rypkema, who reported finding him carrying marijuana. He was charged with drug possession;

-Samantha Letizia, 24, Dumont, was charged with a drug offense after handing over a joint to Officer Juan Rodriguez, police said;

-A boy and girl, both 17 of Saddle Brook, were taken into custody by Detective Paul Donohue and issued juvenile complaints that will be heard in family court.
