Officer Michael Goldyn was stopped behind 21-year-old Keisanna Franceis of Paterson when her car hit his, Police Chief Michael Foligno said.

She then took off on eastbound Route 46, he said.

Goldyn pursued her a quarter-mile and pulled her over, the chief said.

Because a local police vehicle was involved, the Bergen County Police Department was contacted to investigate.

The BCPD charged Franceis with DWI.

Elmwood Park police unsafe and careless driving, failing to maintain lane, not wearing a seatbelt and leaving the scene of an accident.

Goldyn was fine and the cruiser had moderate damage to the front bumper, Foligno said.
