JQuan Seegers -- who was being held in the Passaic County Jail following his arrest in a separate incident -- had $250,000 added to his bail for the new charges: attempted murder, robbery and weapons offenses, Police Director Jerry Speziale said.

The 21-year-old victim, who walked into St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center just before 11 p.m. the night of the shooting, later told police he was shot by an armed robber who approached him on Sparrow Street near Highland Street, Speziale said.

City Detective Michael Quinones and Bergen County Prosecutor’s Detective Michael Boone identified and charged Seegers, 22, he said.
