Sgt. Bert Looby, Officers Brian Oliver and Wayne Zelna administered an initial dose to the Brookside Avenue man last Thursday night after being summoned by a relative of the victim, Detective Charles Franke told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

They continued care and administered a second dose, which brought him around.

“He began to yell and tried to sit up,” Franke said.

He was then taken to Englewood Hospital and Medical Center.

It was the department’s second Narcan save.
