CLIFTON, N.J. -- Clifton police on Wednesday released surveillance images of a man who they said held up the Valley National Bank Saturday morning.

The dark-skinned robber approached a teller at the Getty Avenue bank at 10:#0 a.m. and "presented a threatening note demanding money," Detective Lt. Robert Bracken said.

"The teller complied and handed over cash (not disclosing amount at this time) and the suspect then fled the scene on foot," Bracken added. "Unknown direction."
