Christmas Eve Paterson Shooting Victim Found In Crashed Car

PATERSON, N.J. – Police responding to a Christmas Eve shooting in Paterson found the victim behind the wheel of a crashed car, authorities said.

The 24-year-old city victim was taken to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson and survived the 4:40 p.m. shooting near the corner of East 24th Street and 17th Avenue, authorities said.

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Deputy Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora asked that anyone who saw something or has information that can help identify the shooter contact the prosecutor’s tips line at 1-877-370-PCPO or tips@passaiccountynj.org.
