Carlos M. Rojas, 53, had racked up $31,000 in tolls and fees from 351 known violations when officers stopped his white jitney as it approached the Lincoln Tunnel toll plaza in Weehawken Thursday afternoon, the authority's Joseph Pentangelo said Saturday.

Rojas was arrested and the jitney bus impounded.

Port Authority police have collared some serious debtors at the Hudson crossing in recent days.

In one instance, they arrested a Teaneck motorist who'd rung up $56,240 in unpaid tolls after he drove through a GWB E-ZPass lane with no front license plate.
