Officers responding to a 12:25 a.m. call at 12th Avenue and Rosa Parks Boulevard on Jan. 22 found the 31-year-old victim in the home, Police Director Jerry Speziale said.

He was taken to Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center, the director said.

Detectives Francisco Brito and Salvatore Marotta of the Ceasefire Unit identified Tariq Holly, obtained a warrant for his arrest and tried to locate him, Speziale said.

By coincidence, Narcotics Division detectives arrested Holly on unrelated charges at Mercer and Franklin streets last Saturday, he said.

They notified Brito and Marotta, who charged Holly with the shooting, the director said.
