Ex-con Leroy Hodgson, 33, of Paterson, was arrested without incident Thursday night by Passaic County sheriff’s detectives at the Wayne Hills Mall, authorities said.

A court appearance was scheduled for Friday afternoon, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Deputy Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora said in a joint release.

Police responding to a report of shots fired at Paterson Billiards on Market Street just after 2:30 a.m. Dec. 1 found 34-year-old Dontrell Horne gravely injured, they said.

Horne was taken to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson, where he was pronounced dead a half-hour later.

Detectives working the case learned that he’d gotten into an argument with Hodgson that ended in gunfire.

Hodgson is charged with murder and various weapons counts.
