NORTH HALEDON, N.J. – Lida B. Sylvester, of North Haledon, died Saturday, Dec. 12. She was 89.
Sylvester was born in Paterson.
She is survived by her husband, Benjamin; four children, Cynthia Hyer, Anthony Sylvester, Sharon Izzi and Benjamin Jr.; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be Tuesday, Dec. 15, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, Dec. 16, at 10:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, 308 Sixth Ave., Paterson.
Interment will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa.
