Jumper's Body Recovered Near Driscoll Bridge Along Garden State Parkway: Njsp The body of a man who jumped off the Garden State Parkway's Driscoll Bridge was recovered from the Raritan River, authorities said. Troopers were advised of a motorist stopped on the parkway northbound at MP 127.5 in Woodbridge at 6:55 a.m. Monday, July 31, New Jersey State Police said. As police arrived, a man exited the vehicle and jumped over the side of the bridge, State Police said. Perth Amboy Police Department Marine Unit arrived and recovered the man who was pronounced dead, police said.

Bloomfield Man Killed In Weekend Crash, 2 Passengers Hurt A 27-year-old man from Bloomfield was killed and two others hurt in a single-car crash in Woodbridge over the weekend, authorities said. Isiah Hamilton was heading south on Rahway Avenue when his car veered off the road and struck a pole around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Woodbridge police said. Hamilton was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, where he was pronounced dead. Hamilton’s two passengers, 23-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman, were taken to University Hospital in Newark with non life-threatening injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
