Foul play was not suspected after human remains were found at a Jersey Shore construction site, authorities said. A 54-year-old driver was killed when his vehicle veered off the Garden State Parkway in Monmouth County on Thursday, March 14, State Police said. Joseph Pace, of Brick township, was heading south in a Hyundai when he rear-ended a Jeep SUV in Wall Township near milepost 100.3 just after 3:05 p.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Victim Ditched On Roadside After Being Carjacked By Passengers On I-195: Police
Two men are accused of stealing another man's vehicle while they were all driving together in Monmouth County, authorities said. Wall Township police said officers responded to a reported carjacking on Interstate 195 near the interchange with Route 34 at around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 28. Police are looking for the people responsible for taking advantage of a broken lock at a Wawa store in Wall Township early New Year's Day. Wall Township police say it happened in the Wawa at the corner of New Jersey Route 35 and Lakewood Road. Officers arrived at the store at around 2 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 1. Man Arrested For Scamming Victim Of $100K On Jersey Shore
A 31-year-old man from Jersey City has been arrested in an email scam totaling nearly $100,000, authorities said. Shiva Penmetsa was charged with theft on Tuesday, Dec. 19, according to Wall Township police. Penmesta allegedly sent the woman an email on May 5 thanking her for a $400 subscription, police said. The woman called the number listed on the email and Penmetsa convinced her to give electronic access to her computer, they said. A 40-year-old woman from Wall Township was struck and killed while waiting for a ride from a friend, authorities said. Georgina M. Stelman was standing on Brighton Avenue when she was struck by a 64-year-old driver from Oakhurst, Wall Township police said. The crash occurred at about 8:25 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 6. Two men have been charged in more than a dozen home and vehicle break-ins in Wall Township. Kevin J. Yuille, 24, of Elizabeth was arrested in Newark on Saturday, Nov. 4, stemming from an investigation conducted by Detective Zach Honecker. About 27,000 electric customers were without power Monday morning in southern Monmouth County. The exact cause of the widespread outage was not immediately known.
