Three Injured After Car Strikes Two Pedestrians On Route 202: Branchburg PD
Three people were injured after a vehicle struck two pedestrians on the afternoon of Thursday, Feb. 7 in Branchburg, authorities said. At 12:50 p.m., Branchburg police responded to the Branchburg Car Care Center at 1015 Route 202 North and found two pedestrians who had been struck by a vehicle in the parking lot, officers said. Three people complained of injuries and were taken to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, police said. The investigation is ongoing, police said.

No Charges For Driver, 73, Who Fatally Struck Woman, 77, Walking To Bridgewater Bus Stop: PD
Charges have yet to be filed against a 73-year-old driver who fatally struck a 77-year-old woman Sunday, Nov. 19 in Bridgewater Township, police said. Maria Zuniga was crossing Union Avenue near Finderne Avenue at 9:55 a.m. attempting to reach a bus stop when she was struck by a 2015 Honda CRV driven by a 73-year-old Somerville man heading east, Bridgewater Police Officer Cole Taggert said. Police ID Pedestrian, 32, Killed By Car In Central Jersey
A 32-year-old pedestrian died after being struck by a car in Central Jersey. Matthew H. Brunner, of East Brunswick, was struck by the vehicle at the intersection of Cranbury Road and Henly Drive around 8:15 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, East Brunswick police said. Brunner was critically injured and later pronounced dead. The driver and passenger of the vehicle were uninjured and remained at the scene of the crash. Woman Ticketed After Being Run Over By Her Own Vehicle In NJ
As if being run over by her own car wasn't punishment enough, the 61-year-old driver was then ticketed for having an unregistered vehicle, authorities in New Jersey said. A 27-year-old man from Staten Island has been sentenced to five years in New Jersey State Prison for eluding police, authorities said. Antwan McPhatter was sentenced in connection with an incident that occurred in Seaside Heights on August 19, 2021. A pedestrian was struck by a car in Morristown, developing reports say. The victim was hit near South and Pine streets shortly before 10:40 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, according to initial and unconfirmed reports. An advanced life support ambulance responded to rush the victim to a nearby hospital, the report says. The Major Crimes unit was also called to the accident scene. Speed Bump Kills North Jersey Sanitation Worker Riding On Truck, Police Say
A 74-year-old sanitation worker died after the truck he was riding on hit a speed bump and he fell off earlier this month in Scotch Plains, police announced. Ismael Oliva was riding on the rear platform of the truck when he fell off and hit is head on the 300 block of Henry Street around 9:30 a.m. Sept. 2, local police said. Good Samaritans had rushed outside to help the Plainfield sanitation worker when paramedics arrive. Oliva was rushed to Overlook Medical Center in Summit, where he was pronounced dead, police said. The crash remains under investigation.

Waretown Man, 27, Killed In Stafford Township Crash
An Ocean County man was killed Sunday when his Jeep struck two parked vehicles and a tree, authorities said. Thomas Ronacher, 27, of Waretown died after his northbound Jeep Grand Cherokee veered across several lawns on Nautilus Drive and crashed near Quadrant Road, Stafford police said in a statement. A 76-year-old West Milford woman who was struck by a sedan in Oakland early Friday night died shortly after arriving at the hospital, authorities said.
