Three Injured After Car Strikes Two Pedestrians On Route 202: Branchburg PD Three people were injured after a vehicle struck two pedestrians on the afternoon of Thursday, Feb. 7 in Branchburg, authorities said. At 12:50 p.m., Branchburg police responded to the Branchburg Car Care Center at 1015 Route 202 North and found two pedestrians who had been struck by a vehicle in the parking lot, officers said. Three people complained of injuries and were taken to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, police said. The investigation is ongoing, police said.

Maria Zuniga was crossing Union Avenue near Finderne Avenue at 9:55 a.m. attempting to reach a bus stop when she was struck by a 2015 Honda CRV driven by a 73-year-old Somerville man heading east, Bridgewater Police Officer Cole Taggert said. Police ID Pedestrian, 32, Killed By Car In Central Jersey A 32-year-old pedestrian died after being struck by a car in Central Jersey. Matthew H. Brunner, of East Brunswick, was struck by the vehicle at the intersection of Cranbury Road and Henly Drive around 8:15 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, East Brunswick police said. Brunner was critically injured and later pronounced dead. The driver and passenger of the vehicle were uninjured and remained at the scene of the crash. Speed Bump Kills North Jersey Sanitation Worker Riding On Truck, Police Say A 74-year-old sanitation worker died after the truck he was riding on hit a speed bump and he fell off earlier this month in Scotch Plains, police announced. Ismael Oliva was riding on the rear platform of the truck when he fell off and hit is head on the 300 block of Henry Street around 9:30 a.m. Sept. 2, local police said. Good Samaritans had rushed outside to help the Plainfield sanitation worker when paramedics arrive. Oliva was rushed to Overlook Medical Center in Summit, where he was pronounced dead, police said. The crash remains under investigation.
