Caesars Entertainment Bets $400M On New Restaurants, Renovations At 3 Atlantic City Casinos
Caesars Entertainment announced on Wednesday that it is investing $400 million into three of its Atlantic City casino resorts. Renovations, to begin this summer at Caesars, Harrah's Resort and Tropicana Atlantic City, include new restaurants, enhanced gaming floors and renovated guest rooms. 4 Charged In Tropicana Atlantic City Casino Floor Fight, South Jersey Man Seriously Stabbed
A man from South Jersey was admitted to the hospital with life-threatening stab wounds and three others were treated for injuries after a fight involving seven men from three states on the casino floor at Tropicana Atlantic City, authorities said. A man from Brooklyn and a man from Cary, NC, were later charged with attempted murder in connection with the casino fight, state police said. 2,704 Tropicana Atlantic City Employees Laid Off
More than 2,700 employees were laid off from Tropicana Atlantic City with state-ordered casino closures extended another month, according to a WARN notice filed with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development. Last Saturday, Eldorado Resorts -- which owns Tropicana -- moved to the minimum workforce necessary to maintain basic operations, according to an April 8 report to shareholders.
