Friends of the family of a 39-year-old man struck and killed by an Amtrak train in New Jersey are reaching out with support. Sreekanth Digala, who died Tuesday night, Feb. 28 in Plainsboro, loved ones say on a GoFundMe campaign. He is survived by his wife, Suvarchala, and their son, Aneesh, who is 10 years old. Workers Killed By Train On Bridge Connecting NJ, PA Identified
A pair of workers who were struck and killed by a train on the Benjamin Franklin Bridge connecting New Jersey and Pennsylvania last week have been identified by colleagues. Donato G. Fiocca, 53, and Victor R. Martins, 55, were working on the bridge when they were fatally struck in Camden around 9:20 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14. Both men were members of the Cement Masons and Plasterers' Local 592, Fiocca for 25 years and Martins for 8. A woman struck by a train in 2008 still has not been identified, but authorities in New Jersey are hoping to change that. The woman was struck by a New Jersey Transit train at the Fisk Avenue Crossing in Brielle, on June 15, 2008, State Police said. The victim was described as a white female, approximately 18 to 30 years old, 5’4” tall, 123 pounds with hazel eyes and brown hair. Girl Seriously Injured After Being Struck By Train In Morris County
A girl was seriously injured after being struck by a train in Morris County Thursday evening, NJ Transit officials said. The girl was struck by the Montclair Boonton Line train 1079 west of Abbot Road in Montville just before 5:50 p.m., an NJ Transit spokesperson told Daily Voice. EMS, Police Rescue Intoxicated Man Grazed By Train, MTA Says
An intoxicated man was injured Monday evening by a train as it passed through Long Branch, authorities said. The man was taken to Jersey Shore Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, MTA spokesman Jim Smith said. The inebriated man made contact with the side of the moving train as it passed the station at 224 3rd Ave. at about 6:15 p.m., Smith said. He was transported to the medical center by local EMS crews.

A woman was struck and severely injured by a commuter train Monday night in Waldwick, responders said. Atlantic Air One flew the 32-year-old victim to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center after landing at the municipal pool on Hopper Avenue, they said. Her condition couldn't immediately be determined. UPDATE: NJ Transit confirmed that a woman was struck and killed by a commuter train Wednesday morning in Glen Rock. The woman, who appeared to be in her 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene after being struck near the Harristown Road grade crossing shortly before 10:30 a.m., responders said.
