Two brothers from Jersey City were racing each when one caused a June 2021 crash that seriously injured a 44-year-old man from Passaic, authorities said. Justin Crespo, 25, was heading north on Kennedy Boulevard in a Mercedes Benz when he struck a Toyota Highlander, as the 34-year-old driver was turning left onto Leonard Street from the south side of the roadway on the evening of June 5, 2021, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. The FBI turned to the public for help after joining the effort to identify a woman whose body was found in Elizabeth more than a year ago. The body was found along railroad tracks off the 300 block of Port Avenue, in the shadow of the New Jersey Turnpike, on June 11, 2020, authorities said. They didn’t say how they believe she died. Predawn Burglar Points Rifle At Montvale Woman, Crashes Stolen SUV Into Paramus Home
Awoken by a noise in the middle of the night, a Montvale homeowner was confronted by a burglar who pointed a rifle at her before taking her car and crashing it into a house off the Garden State Parkway in Paramus, authorities said. Paramus police found the abandoned Toyota Highlander in the backyard of a Highland Avenue home near the Exit 166 exit ramp shortly after 2:30 a.m. Monday. Absecon Man, 38, Charged In Fatal Head-On Hit-Run Crash
Police arrested a 38-year-old Absecon man who they said fled the scene of a crash Monday that killed one person and seriously injured another. Keneet Camacho remained held in the Atlantic County Justice Facility, charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident, driving while impaired and driving while unlicensed in connection with the 8 a.m. crash on Wrangleboro Road, Galloway police said.
