South Brunswick High School Locked Down: Police South Brunswick High School was locked down early Wednesday, Jan. 31 because of an unspecified incident, authorities said. At 8:30 a.m., the South Brunswick School Resource Officer and high school administration placed the school on lockdown, South Brunswick police said. The staff and officer were investigating information they had received minutes earlier. Additional officers arrived at the school and by 8:34 a.m., the student in question was located, police said. South Brunswick High School Evacuated Due To Chemical Smell: Police South Brunswick High School was evacuated Friday afternoon due to a chemical smell, authorities said. Police, firefighters and EMS crews were at the scene. The incident occurred at about 12:45 p.m. on March 11 at the high school at  Ridge Road and Stouts Lane, initial reports said. No one was reported hurt.  It was not immediately clear where the chemical smell originated. There was an unconfirmed report that the smell came from a pepper spray. Woman Seriously Injured By Deer Who Ran Into Crowd Of South Brunswick Marchers A deer that ran into a crowd during a Black Lives Matter protest injured three people  including one seriously, authorities said. The deer apparently ran from the South Brunswick High School into the crowd marching on Route 522 at the 5 p.m. march on Friday. A 69-year-old woman was taken to a hospital with a serious head injury, while two others were treated at the scene, police said.
