Two Monmouth County drivers were accused of being intoxicated during a deadly crash, authorities said. Zyasia Henson, 28, of Long Branch, and Edgar Marcial-Diaz, 32, of Red Bank, were charged with second-degree vehicular homicide and two counts of third-degree assault by auto. A 26-year-old driver from Union County has been charged with vehicular homicide in a Sayreville crash that killed one of his passengers, authorities said. A man riding a motorized scooter was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Route 35 in Monmouth County that involved a local police officer, state authorities said. Motorcycle Driver Crashes Into Cargo Van, Dies In Central Jersey
A Monmouth County man was killed when his motorcycle crashed into a cargo van, authorities said. William Eckert III, 54, of Eatontown, died in the crash on Monday, Apr. 8, according to a Shrewsbury police spokesperson. It happened at around 2:05 p.m. on Route 35, about 300 feet south of Sycamore Avenue. Eckert was driving a 2016 black motorcycle when he crashed into an unoccupied 2019 cargo van. Paramedics rushed him to Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank. Police were investigating the cause of the crash.

Woman Strikes Telephone Pole, Killed In Route 35 Crash In Woodbridge: Police
A 67-year-old woman was killed after she suffered a medical emergency and ran into a telephone pole in the Colonie section of Woodbridge, authorities said. Barbara Czyzewska, of Aberdeen, was southbound on Route 35 (St. George's Avenue) at about 10:40 a.m. Friday, March 22 when she lost control of her Subaru, Woodbridge police said. She was taken to Rahway Hospital where she was pronounced dead, police said. There were no passengers in the Subaru.
