Police Car Totaled By Distracted Driver: South Brunswick PD A South Brunswick police car was totaled after a motorist ran into the back of it on Route 1, authorities said.  At 11:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, Patrolman First Class Sean Roberts stopped a truck on Route 1 south near Raymond Road.  Roberts exited his patrol car and approached the passenger side of the truck. As he was speaking with the truck driver he heard screeching tires and a loud crash, police said. Truck Driver Hurt, Plywood Spills In Central Jersey Crash A 53-year-old truck driver was seriously hurt when he overturned on Route 1 in South Brunswick, authorities said. The crash occurred at 10:11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9 when the truck swerved onto Promenade Boulevard to avoid a car, South Brunswick police said. The plywood on the truck spilled onto the highway and struck four vehicles, police said. No other injuries were reported.
