Winner! Somerset County Powerball Player Scores $50K
Three Powerball players in North Jersey had quite the lucky Saturday.
The tickets, sold in Rochelle Park, Branchburg and Newton, matched four of the five numbers plus the red Powerball in the drawing held on Saturday, March 23, winning $50,000.
The winning numbers were 6, 23, 25, 34, 51 and the red Powerball was 3. The tickets were sold at Shoprite Liquor in Rochelle Park, Texs Liquor Store in Branchburg and Smartwood Deli in Newton.
Big Batch Of Bogus Bills Seized, Mercer Couple Busted In Bergen Traffic Stop
More than $2,000 in counterfeit 20s and 50s apparently intended for a Bergen County shopping spree was seized by Rochelle Park police during a traffic stop, authorities said.
Officer Chris Kiszka pulled over the Hyundai Genesis on dead-ended Lexington Avenue off Cliff Street after the driver committed multiple traffic violations shortly before 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, Capt. James M. DePreta said.
Empty prescription bottles and other paraphernalia were in plain view, the captain said.
The driver, Wade Wallace, 37, of Trenton also had a suspended license, DePreta said.

Brothers' New North Jersey Rooftop Bar Promises NYC Vibes
Passaic is getting the rooftop bar it has long desired.
I Want U, which promises views of the New York City skyline, will be opening in October at 822 Main Ave. in the city.
The bar is the brainchild of longtime friends, Alex Perez, whose family owns the property, and Justin Gordnick, who along with his brother Chris, run a solar company.
"They had this property and it was a really good location," said Chris Gordnick, of Tenafly. "We think we can do something together here."
The partners had never run a bar before but have thrown themselves into the place, which offers three floors of fun…
NY Rapper In YouTube Video Seized After Assaulting NJ Shop Rite Worker, Harassing Customers
One way to pretty much guarantee you'll be arrested is to record a crime and post it on YouTube -- in high def, no less. Just ask drill music rapper Nas Ebk.
Nasir Valenzuela, who has produced prank videos that push the limits of legality, joined two accomplices in harassing and intimidating customers and employees at the ShopRite in Rochelle Park while recording it.
Some of their targets laughed it off. At least one seemed intimidated. Others simply ignored them.

Three tickets from the Tuesday, Oct. 11 Mega Millions drawing were sold in North Jersey.
Each ticket is worth $10,000. A fourth was sold in South Jersey.
The locally-sold tickets were purchased from the following locations:
