2.9 Magnitude Earthquake Rattles Tewksbury New Jersey was rattled by a small earthquake on Friday morning, May 24, the USGS reports. It happened at 3:50 a.m. in Tewksbury, approximately 6 kilometers southwest of Gladstone, the USGS says. The Ramapo Fault System, which runs through NY, PA, NJ, MD, and VA, has clearly been a hot spot.  Countless quakes and aftershocks have developed along the system since the 4.8-magnitude earthquake on April 5.
