Woman Struck By NJ Transit Train Suffers Severe Leg Injury: Officials A woman was hospitalized with a severe leg injury after being struck by a train in Morristown on Saturday, May 4, NJ Transit officials said. The woman was on the Morristown platform with the injury when responders arrived at the scene, just before 7:25 p.m., a spokesperson for NJ Transit said. The woman was taken to the hospital by EMS. A bull wandering onto the tracks in Newark caused trains to be delayed up to 45 minutes between Newark Penn Station and Penn Station New York, NJ Transit said.  Rail tickets and passes are being crossed honored by PATH, Hoboken, Newark Penn and 33rd Street New York, NJ Transit said. It is unknown how the bull got onto the train tracks.

NJ Transit Train Strikes Car On Jersey Shore A New Jersey Transit train struck a car on the Jersey Shore, authorities said. At 7:32 a.m., North Jersey Coast Line train 3224 crashed into the car at the Bethany Road crossing in Hazlet. The car's motorist was not hurt.  No injuries were reported to the approximately 150 customers or the crew on board at the time. The train departed Long Branch at 7:10 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive at Penn Station New York at 8:41 a.m. Customers from train 3224 were being transferred to a following train.  New Jersey Transit Police are on scene leading the investigation.

Praveen Desini was hit just east of the Edison station about 7:20 a.m. on Tuesday by Manhattan-bound Northeast Corridor train 3920, NJ Transit officials said.
