A pedestrian was fatally struck by an NJ Transit train and killed in Monmouth County Thursday evening, Jan. 25, officials said. The person was struck near the railroad crossing at White Road in Little Silver at around 4:55 p.m., NJ Transit spokesperson Kyalo Mulumba said. Pedestrian Struck, Killed On Route 9 In Central Jersey: Sayreville PD
A pedestrian was struck and killed on Route 9 in Sayreville early Monday, Jan. 22, authorities said. The man's identification had not been released pending notification of kin, said Lt. James Novak, a Sayreville police spokesman. The fatal crash occurred at about 12:40 a.m. in the 900 block of Route 9 North near the Sunoco station, Novak said. The driver remained at the scene and no summonses had been issued, he said. The crash remains under investigation. Authorities are investigating a crash early Tuesday, Dec. 12 that killed a pedestrian on Route 35 in Monmouth County. A pedestrian was critically hurt in a crash on the Jersey Shore, authorities said. At 9:31 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 10, Toms River police and EMS units were dispatched to the intersection of Route 37 and River Drive.
