A teen from Newark was accused of stealing a vehicle in Ocean County, authorities said. Fazon Farrington, 19, was charged on Monday, Apr. 29 with theft of movable property and burglary. The Brick Township Police Department announced the charges in a news release on Tuesday, Apr. 30. A vehicle was stolen on Princeton Avenue on Tuesday, Mar. 5. Police Charge Career Burglar Once Shot By Homeowner With NJ Jewelry Store Break-In
UPDATE: A career criminal who was once shot by a retired guidance counselor after breaking into his home was charged with burglarizing a Wyckoff jewelry store earlier this year. Alexander E. Manigat, 42, of Brooklyn, was arrested by Nassau County police last month in connection with a jewelry store burglary there, Wyckoff Police Lt. Joseph Soto said on Friday, June 2. UPDATE: A bodybuilder who was picked up from the Bergen County Jail on Wednesday by Nassau County detectives shot his parents in their Long Island mansion on Christmas in a dispute over his 1-year-old son, authorities said.
