$50K Powerball Ticket Sold At South Jersey Grocery Store
A Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was purchased at an Ocean County grocery store, officials said.
The New Jersey Lottery said the $50,000 Powerball ticket was sold at the ShopRite on Route 70 in Manchester. The ticket matched four numbers and the Powerball in the drawing on Saturday, Apr. 6.
The winning numbers were 22, 27, 44, 52, and 69. The Powerball was 9.
A ticket sold in Portland, Oregon, won the estimated $1.3 billion jackpot. The prize was the eighth largest in U.S. history.

Robert Michael Catalfamo, of Toms River, died suddenly on Sunday, Feb. 25 at Community Medical Center, according to an obituary published by McCriskin-Gustafson Family of Funeral Homes and a GoFundMe campaign. He was 43 years old.
Nearly $20,000 was raised for medical and funeral expenses by the GoFundMe page as of Thursday, March 7.
Rob was a 1999 graduate of South Plainfield High School, his obituary said.
Rob lived in Jersey City and later began a career in hospitality, and eventually to Albany, NY, where he worked for the New York Board of Health, according to his obit.

Motorcyclist, 27, Seriously Injured In Jersey Shore Crash
A 27-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash in Manchester, authorities said.
The crash occurred on Monday, Oct. 16, 2023, at approximately 4:45 pm, on Route 37 between Bone Hill Road and Commonwealth Boulevard, according to Manchester police.
The sole rider of the motorcycle, Thomas O’Brien of Lakehurst, was observed lying in the left lane of the roadway approximately 46 feet west of the motorcycle, police said. He had suffered serious injuries including a broken left arm, they said.

Eleven New Jersey Lottery tickets matched four of the five white balls and the Power Ball drawn on Monday, Oct. 31, winning the $50,000 second-tier prize.
Two of those tickets were purchased with Power Play, multiplying the prizes to $150,000.

Manchester police have captured a man who fled the scene of a three-car crash, authorities said.
The crash, which resulted in injuries, occurred on Saturday night, Feb. 12.
