Services Announced For Firefighter, Piscataway Resident, Killed In Line of Duty
Marques Hudson, the Plainfield firefighter killed on Friday, Jan. 26 battling a house fire, will be laid to rest on Saturday, Feb. 3.
Services were announced by Buckland Funeral Home in Somerset for Hudson, the 32-year-old Piscataway resident and father of three. Viewings will be held on Friday, Feb 2 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Plainfield High School and Saturday, Feb. 3 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the high school, according to his obituary.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 3 at 11 a.m. at the high school, his obituary reads.

Bruno Littig, a 40-year-old Elizabeth resident died in a house fire on Sunday, Oct. 1.
Just two weeks ago, Littig found out his wife Stephanie was expecting their second child, joining their 4-year-old son Michael.

Police ID Teen, Infant, Adults Killed In Ocean County House Fire
Authorities have identified the victims of a house fire in Ocean County.
Jennifer Wright, 39; Alaina Wright, 34; a 14-year-old girl and a 4-month-old infant were killed in the fire on Tuesday, Aug. 1 in Lacey Township, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer.
The fire was ruled accidental and may be due to smoking, Billhimer said.
"This is an unspeakable tragedy, and our prayers are with the loved ones of these victims,” Billhimer said.

Support Surges For Bound Brook Family Displaced By Fire
A Bound Brook family lost everything when their home went up in flames, and the community is now rallying to help.
Firefighters responded to the Trupkiewicz family's Mountain Avenue home on March 19, where the fire reached three alarms, according to the local fire station and a GoFundMe campaign launched by relatives.
Annie Kielblock organized the campaign on behalf of her sister, Alyssa, and brother-in-law, Michael Trupkiewicz. The pair and their four children, Lucca, 11; Charlie, 8; Mikey, 2; and Ellowyn, 6 months, have been displaced.

Authorities ID Woman, 93, Killed In House Fire On Jersey Shore
Authorities have identified the woman killed in a house fire in Belmar on Wednesday, March 15, authorities said.
Frances Colie, 93, was pronounced dead at the scene of the fire, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.
The fire broke out at about 4 p.m. on the 1700 block of Surf Avenue.
There has been no indication of any foul play being involved, the prosecutor's office said.
An investigation into the cause and origin of the fire, involving members of the Prosecutor’s Office and the Monmouth County Fire Marshal’s Office, is ongoing.
