Man Struck, Killed On Route 35 Helped Homeless Authorities have identified the pedestrian struck and killed along Route 35 in Aberdeen. Jeremy Riccioni, 33, of Aberdeen was struck at about 11:15 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11 in the northbound lanes near the intersection of Amboy Avenue, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.. Jeremy dedicated much of his time as a volunteer focusing on helping the homeless, according to his obituary. Wilfredo Cabrera-Masariegos, 34, of Dover, was charged with second-degree manslaughter and weapons offenses in the death of Rene Rivera Hernandez, 47, a homeless man who frequented Dover, Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Police were called to  Church Square Park in the early morning hours for the unresponsive man, Hoboken Police Det. Lt. Danilo Cabrera said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman had been sheltering in her van parked at 67 Lincoln Park, in Newark. Update: Man Struck, Killed Trying To Cross Route 17 UPDATE: A gruesome scene had some responders looking on in shock after a pedestrian was struck and killed before dawn Saturday on Route 17 in Paramus. Both sides of the highway remained closed for several hours. The victim was a homeless man who regularly stopped in at a gas station convenience store on the northbound side looking for food, authorities said. He tried to cross the highway carrying some breakfast in the dark when he was struck and thrown onto the southbound side shortly before 6 a.m. Other vehicles then struck him on that side, responders said.
