Retired State Trooper Suffered Medical Episode Before Route 287 Crash: Family, Police The driver who died in a crash on Route 287 in Morris County this week has been identified as retired New Jersey State Trooper Kevin Hanrahan.  Hanrahan, 61, was heading north near milepost 31.4 in Harding Township around 9:05 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, when he ran off the road to the left and struck a metal guardrail, New Jersey State Police Trooper Charles Marchan said. State Police: Middlesex County Man, 44, Critically Injured In Route 287 Tractor-Trailer Crash A 44-year-old tractor-trailer driver was critically injured after crashing into a guardrail on Route 287 early Thursday morning, state police said. Weharken Dorsainvil, of Piscataway, was driving a  Freightliner Tractor Trailer northbound when he veered to the left and hit a guardrail near milepost 32 in Harding Township around 3 a.m., NJSP Trooper Charles Marchan told Daily Voice. Dorsainvil was seriously injured in the crash, which remains under investigation, Marchan said. Additional details were not immediately available.

Trapped Cadillac Driver Extricated, Hospitalized After Swerving Off Route 287, Hitting Trees The driver of a Cadillac CTS was hospitalized after swerving off Route 287 and hitting several trees in a Morris County crash late Wednesday afternoon, state police said. The crash occurred in the southbound lanes near milepost 31.6 in Harding Township just after 4:50 p.m., NJSP Sgt. Philip Curry said. The driver ran the vehicle off the road to the left and hit several trees, becoming trapped inside, Curry said. The driver was extricated and transported to Morristown Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, Curry said. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
