Ex-Con Chased Down After Haledon Traffic Stop Packed Loaded Handgun, Police Report An ex-con who ran from a Haledon traffic stop was carrying a gun loaded with hollow-point bullets, said police who chased him down. Officer Jeffrey Welsh stopped the 2007 Nissan Altima on Haledon Avenue around 11:45 p.m. Sunday after the driver failed to properly signal a turn, Lt. George Guzman said.
