A 41-year-old North Carolina man was killed in a multi-car crash on the Garden State Parkway in Essex County early Wednesday, April 17, authorities said. Tarron Francis was heading north in a Nissan SUV when he was struck by a Dodge passenger vehicle around 12:45 a.m. in Irvington, said Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police. A 34-year-old woman from Pennsylvania walking along the Garden State Parkway in Middlesex County, NJ, was struck and killed by a pickup truck, authorities said. Liliya Rosenblum was struck by the Chevrolet pickup at about 4:50 a.m. on Sunday, April 14, in the southbound left lane near milepost 130.2 in Woodbridge, New Jersey State Police said. A truck veered off the Garden State Parkway on the Jersey Shore. The crash occurred at about 6 a.m. Thursday, March 14 southbound near milepost 62 in Eagleswood Township, according to New Jersey State Police. The Hino truck driver lost directional control, ran off the roadway to the left, struck the guardrail, and came to final rest in the wooded area, said Trooper Troy McNair, a State Police spokesman. A tractor-trailer has overturned initially closing all lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike near its interchange with the Garden State Parkway, authorities said. The crash occurred shortly after 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 7 on the outer roadway northbound near the exit ramp to Interchange 11, according to 511nj.org. Harley Davidson Operator, 46, Killed In Parkway Crash
A Monmouth County man was killed after crashing his motorcycle on the Garden State Parkway, authorities said. State police said 46-year-old Tyrone Sapp of Neptune died in Toms River on Sunday, Mar. 3. Troopers responded to the crash on the northbound side of the parkway near milepost 83.6 at around 6:50 p.m. Investigators said Sapp went off the left side of the road, hit a guardrail, and flipped over his Harley-Davidson. He was killed when he was thrown off the motorcycle. Police also said the crash remained under investigation.

The community is rallying to support the family of a 55-year-old man who was struck and killed after his car broke down along the Garden State Parkway. Robert Piel Sr. of Bayonne "had a heart to help those he could," according to a GoFundMe set up to pay funeral costs. The crash occurred at about 12:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 17 northbound at Exit 105 in Tinton Falls, according to the New Jersey State Police.
