Serious Crash Reported On Garden State Parkway A serious crash was reported on the Garden State Parkway in Ocean County, authorities said. The crash occurred at 11:26 a.m. northbound in Eagleswood Township, New Jersey State Police said. Preliminary information indicates in the area of milepost 60.5, the driver of a Toyota RAV 4 lost control and came to rest in the roadway, according to Lt. Lawrence Peele of the State Police. There were no other vehicles involved in the crash, he said. The driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries, he said. The crash remains under investigation. One left lane was blocked, according to 511nj.org.

Manahawkin Woman, 20, Dead In Horrific Garden State Parkway Crash A 20-year-old Manahawkin woman was killed after her car ran off the Garden State Parkway crash Sunday night, New Jersey State Police said. Grace Conover was heading southbound in a Chevrolet Cobalt when she ran off the road to the right near milepost 60.8 in Eagleswood Township around 9:30 p.m., NJSP Sgt. Philip Curry said. Conover's car went down an embankment and struck several trees, ejecting the driver, Curry said. Conover was pronounced dead and the Parkway was closed for approximately three hours, police said.
